The Savage Earth is the current role-playing game campaign that I run.
It uses the Fifth Edition Rules for Hero System.

The pieces I have chosen here are fairly typical of those found on the website. There are many more, mostly character studies. Most of them are full body portraits, since they see double duty as paper miniatures.

The style and design of these characters are influenced heavily by sword and sorcery art. Frank Frazetta, is one of my favorite illustrators. To a lesser degree, I was also influenced by the Jack Kirby designs for Thundarr the barbarian and many, many comic book illustrators. I have tried to create a wide variety of ethnic types and have relied heavily on very saturated color schemes. These people are meant to look "larger than life."
